We were recently contacted to provide a valuation for insurance for a gentleman who had received a Rickenbacker guitar from the 1960’s as part of a relative’s estate. We were happy to advise him that his guitar was in fact a quite rare 1964 Rickenbacker 345/1998RM, 3 pickup Rose Morris model. We have recently assisted a solicitors and other intermediaries in the disposition of the assets of a deceased member of a well-known British classic rock band.  Sadly, the last few years have been marked by the loss to the greater music community of a number of well-known musicians who defined the rock scene in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Largely via photographic evidence and discussions with the family and estate a well presented set of valuations and advisory work was completed on time and to the client’s satisfaction. April 2021 Guitar Valuation Services recently advised an underwriters group concerning the, risk, value and replacement costs of a large collection of instruments, amplifiers and ephemera about to be taken on a world tour by leading English rock band.  We completed the valuation largely from photographic evidence and discussions with the bands tour manager and instruments tech team.
